Students of NEU at Qinhuangdao Won the Gold Award in the 12th “Challenge Cup” National Business Plan Competition for College Students

On December 9, the national final of the 12th Challenge Cup National Business Plan Competition for College Students ended. Students of NEU at Qinhuangdao won 1 gold award and 3 bronze awards in the competition. This is the third time that NEU at Qinhuangdao has made such an achievement after winning the gold award in 2014 and 2016.

In recent years, NEU at Qinhuangdao has been deepening reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and centering on the “5-in-1” innovation and entrepreneurship education system. Focusing on improving the quality of talent cultivation, it is aimed at enhancing college students' innovation spirit, pioneering consciousness and innovation ability, realizing knowledge instruction to them, cultivating their ability and shaping their values. By taking a series of measures such as promoting the integration of academic study and entrepreneurship, building education platforms, and strengthening policy support, NEU at Qinhuangdao tries to promote innovation and entrepreneurship education to the new normal. It plays an important role in improving the quality of undergraduate education, promoting students' all-round development, facilitating graduates’ startup and employment, and serving economic and social development.

NEU at Qinhuangdao has been attaching great importance to the Challenge Cup and has gained remarkable achievements in previous competitions, winning 3 gold awards, 1 “National Excellent Organization Award” and 1 cup for excellence in total. As early as October 2019, NEU at Qinhuangdao launched the publicity and registration work for the 2020 Challenge Cup, and established 91 cultivation projects through training, tutoring, evaluation and approval. In 2020, facing the negative impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, NEU at Qinhuangdao adhered to the same selection standards, same training, and same targets principle, and systematically prepared for the competition online. It invited professional instructors to have continuous training guidance on the whole process of the competition for the entries, with 9 times of online training and 11 times of drills accumulatively, so as to improve the quality of the projects. All these laid a solid foundation for the achievements it made in the competition.
